    Hi Guys - thanks to recent advice from people on this site - I have purchased 2 additional Aquamedic T5 x 80 watt actinic and as of today am running 3 x 10k and 3 x Actinics in my hood - getting ready for purchasing some easy corals GSP, Shrooms, softies and LPS prior to making the step to an Acropora

    whilst in the shop I noticed some 14K Aquamedic 80 watt T5s

    question = is 3 x 10k and 3 Actinic OK - or would 2 x 10k, 2 x 14k and 2 x Actinic be a better, more balanced ratio?

    tank does look a nicer colour as it is now - than it did with the previos 5 - 1 ratio of 10K versus actinic

    What type of spectrum do you want? A 1:1 10,000k to actinic will be a crisp blue, depending on bulb manufactor, a 2:2:2 10,000k:14,000k:actinic might be a little blue, too much for some, perfect for others. How big is the tank?

    Happy lighting!
