Well this friday I am going to be pulling the trigger on some supplement actinic lighting to my 2 - 250 DE Mh's.

Help me decide between 2 - Reefbrite 48" Blue Led Strips
Very costly.. 239.00 each. New technology. Lots of Pros and Cons

    OR

    2 - IceCap driven T5's
Cost friendly and T5's are a solid choice.

I think at that price I would stick with t5 actinics.

Price go for T5, tech for LED. I would go with T5 more bulb options.

Do you already have that shimmer effect with the halides?

I really like the look of these led's.

Im just a little cautious dropping all that cash on them.

What size is your tank? I would go with T5's because you can add and bring out different colors.

I agree with the T5s, I would use those LEDs as main lighting, but just to supplement, I wouldn't spend all that money on them, at least not yet. T5s will be cheaper and a better choice for your application IMO.

Seems like you need to answer the question of what are you trying to accomplish with the upgrade?
Personally i'm staying away from the LED's for a bit longer, I want to see the longer term success before I drop a load of cash only to find out a year later I have to revert back or upgrade the LED's to avoid wiping out my corals.

The ReefBrite LEDs are nice but that is some coin if you just want to supplement. I had T5 actinic with my halide on my 20 and I liked it a lot. I was just whining to Dingo about that after seeing his halide/T5 combo. I vote T5.
