T5s with MH supplementing???

    Wow, thanks Frag. I was trying to think in terms of time for halides and T5s. Now I run my MHs for 6 hours and the PC for 12. If MH was going to be "supplemental", I was not sure how I would want to do that.

    Well I never thought of LEDs for point source and shimmer. They are so expensive I did not consider them for primary, but didn't know they could be used for shimmer. I was even wondering if the heat from the halides would be detrimental to all the T5s. Hopefully when it comes time to do this, LEDs will come down a bit. Thanbks for the great sugestion.

    As for the LEDs for shimmer... they are not all that expensive, to get small LED clusters like the ones Giesemann are producing or the simple PowerBright strips Current makes.. I know of people that use the Powerbrights, I believe Unclejed does... Ask him if he likes them, but I believe he is happy.

    Wouldn't be that expensive to make a T5 that has shimmer.

    As far as heat generated by the MH effecting the T5, well it will if you can't keep the T5 lamps and ballsts cool.
