What type of T5 bulbs would you put over a 72 gal. reef tank. I have a 6 bulb fixture and I want to put the ideal bulbs into it. I have fish, xenia, mushrooms, polyps, clams, toadstool, frogspawn, and misc shrimp in the tank. I also should mention that I like the more blue look. Oh and how many hours should the actinics be on and how many hours should the whites be on as well? Thanks for your help.

Power Compacts give allot more light for price and space. Got with 1/2 actinics/ and 1/2 10Ks is what I have...works great.

half uv10,000k and half uv super actinic is what i use and i run both for 11 hours a day.it gives a crisp look.if you want more blue maybe half actinic and half 12,000k.i would'nt go over,it may get too blue.also, they will look more blue when you 1st get them.i'm confused why your asking about bulbs now for your fixture when you already own things like lps and clams.you put things like that in a mature tank.or do you already have a mature tank and switching from one type of lights to another?

Because I had a 4 light fixture over them, half actinic and half white. I now have a 6 bulb fixture and I was wondering how I could get a more blue shade? Will going more blue effect the corals and clams, I guess thats what I need to be asking. Positively, negitively? I also wondered how long you guys were running your actinics and whites?
