    Does anyone know if this will provide enough light for the chaeto?? I has 10 LED's but I can't figure out how many watts that would produce

    googled and checked the site and it does not give a specification for the LEDs used
    so I cant offer any comments on this product

    I can tell you that many people illuminate their fuges with a simple 6500K energy saving lamp in a metal reflector or cowl ( aluminum or aluminium depending on the part of the world you live)

    If I recall correctly, the problem with the rio led is that it cannot be hooked up to a timer. It has a button that resets itself when the power is cut. So, you would have to be willing to turn the fuge light on and off every day. The watts for each led are around 0.5 watts I think for a total of 5 watts. Very weak little units.

    After looking hard at led lights for my fuge on the 14" cube, I decided on a screw in power compact. The price is lower, and the macroalgae likes the "dirty light" I believe the bulb over my fuge is a 6000 K
