    I have a 110, originally it had T-12's and 2 65w PC, upgraded to 4 x 54w T5 and a single 65w PC when I got into some softy's.
Now I long for the shimmer that I see when I walk into the nicer LFS.

I have on order 2 x 250w MH ballast and will be redoing once again. I have read several posts about acclimating corals to a MH lit tank but I have yet to find any procedure (in detail) about acclimating a whole tank to MH lighting. As pointed out in previous posts, the suggestion is to start with the lights raised and then bring them down bit by bit.

Can an experienced MH-er give me a schedule on this.
I am looking for instructions like the drop should be completed over a 2 week time, or an inch every 2 days.

I have the TEK fixture suspended from the ceiling via sun lifts and will do the same with the two MH reflectors. I also plan on air cooling the MH reflectors.
I plan on purchasing Sunlight Supply's Super Sun 2 reflectors and venting them into the attic (draw and vent) during the winter months and during the summer I will pull from the living area and still vent into the attic. This way I can drop them down right on top of the tank and not cook the water.

Is anyone else air-cooling their lights?
I have a horticulture background and was surprised to see the lack of reflector technology available to the aquarium hobbyist.
Many reflectors are little more than bent metal. I feel more science goes into the horticulture bound reflectors.
