No new livestock. nothing dead maybe some uneaten food. because the majority of it sinks before the trigger that I have in there gets a chance to go at it. The tank is fairly new yes. I didn't have much time to cycle because I got the trigger unexpectedly. prob cycled for about 3 weeks with some black mollies in there. I didn't think that was enough time so I dosed with the stress zyme. Before all of this however, everyday, I was emptying my skimmer and now the collecting cup has been empty for a while

looks like you are cycling. you need to degrease feeding, or maybe get something other than pellets. its cycling and you have to let it finish. water changes will decrease your ammonia... BUT it will prolong the cycle. I would decrease feedings. Every other day and dont let any hit the bottom. change foods if you have to. If there is anywhere you can house the trigger, i would, but if not i dunno. anyone else have ideas?

do you have LR? what are you using for filtration? you could maybe get some bioballs or LR rubble from a established tank and put in your system to speed the cycle along.

I suspected that it was now going through the cycling process. Nowhere I can house him right now. I'll try to sustain him for as long as I can. he isn't showing any signs of illness (knock on wood) as of now. I'll decrease feedings. Thanks for the help
    Cheers

LR; only one piece. not much life on it though. I added sum rubble to the filter yesterday. Filtration: Carbon, Filter Floss and bio balls

Okay cool. I'll try to get my hands on some of that. Tanks a bunch for the spontaneous responses Annie. It's greatly appreciated by me and 'Bernard' (my Trigger);)

All of those bacteria in a bottle products get mixed reviews. Mainly because over time the bacteria in the bottle dies off. It's hard to tell if it's fresh. When you're in a pinch it's worth a try. You should get some more live rock. I don't know about table salt so I wouldn't do it. Just wait on some normal tank salt

Back to your original question, .018 for a fish only tank is no big deal. Fish can survive SG MUCH MUCH lower than that, so hold off till you get your salt in.
Also, it sounds to me as if you are running a race that can't be won! I think everyone will agree that only bad things and bank account drains happens quickly in the world of saltwater aquariums. You need to slow down and not add anything else till the tank has been up for 8-12 weeks. IMO don't use any additives at all. Let mother nature run her course. While you are waiting for your tank to cycle you need to do tons more research before you go any further, and pray that your fish makes it! Not trying to sound harsh, just trying to help out. Good luck!!
