tabulate acropora

    Does anyone know I good place to find tabulating acroporas or how to get an acro to grow in a tabulate pattern? I would like to find some for my 90g tank.

    You can get a frag and instead of gluing it vertically, glue it horizontally. Only bad thing is it takes longer to grow depending on the coral.

    tabulate =
    1: to put into tabular form
    2: to count, record, or list systematically

    I think the word you are looking for is tabling.

    No, most A. tenuis are not a good tabling Acropora sp. Some can, but it seems to be more uncommon with this species IME.

    A. efflorescens
    A. solitaryensis

    Notta problem :) FWIW Divers Den always has some INSANE tabling corals. I drool daily :lol:

    I would get a mille, they table, and are one of the easier to propagate. That being said an ORA Red Planet is very hardy, lower requirements on the acro light scale, and very pretty. I bet 90% of SPS tanks have one (this is a WAG, not a professional census of north american reef tanks)
