Anyone ever have any experience with a Tail Spot Blenny feeding on polyps or anything?

Recently I caught my Tail spot on 2 different occasions chowing down on our green pocillopora like he/she was eating corn on the cobb.

Granted my pocillopora is a work in progress but that even makes it worse. Trying to recover this thing from the clutches of death and little sucker is kicking it back down.

At first I thought maybe there was something on it (pods etc)but both days it was in the same area and I have only seen it do this twice

Is the area dead already? It could be trying to get at some algae growing on it. Otherwise, there are very few truly 100% reef safe Blennies. I have a Tailspot in my SPS tank, but so far I have only seen it eat algae on frag plugs.

ah I was waiting for you Marshall(you always have great info). This coral has 1 small dead branch from another coral but that is not where it seems to be eating. I have not noticed any algae on it but will do a good midday inspection.

    Thanks Marshall
