    here is my very first algea bloom. yeee but one of my rocks is now white and my snails love it. :) enjoy

    Ugh, I hated that first bloom! But your one rock looks really nice and clean! GO snails!

    I always get excited when I see that first algae bloom. It just means you're almost ready to create a masterpiece!

    i know i am all giddy i just star at it forever. i just cant wait till i can add some great beauty to it.

    Since you are just getting started, if you are going to add more rock, now is the time. Add live bacteria at twice the marine dose when you put in more rock. May as well get all the cycling done in one fell swoop.

    i dont think i am going to add anymore rock i dont want to overwelm the small tank with rock but i do want to add alot of corals

    might be like this for a couple of weeks or maybe 6 weeks ( varies depending on silicates available)

    then when it magically goes away, its brilliant
