Take a look... New heatsinks for less..

Just a quick update on this, I went to the Greater Iowa Reef Society spring frag swap and these guys where there with a piece of their heatsink package there. it looked pretty promising and seemed like the best way to go for a clean looking package.

 

Looks awesome! I hope it funds. Would love to get a couple of these.

I met with one of the founders of this idea, and they plan to have the aluminum extruded in mid may. they have decided to move in another direction than Kickstart and will be able to continue the build. I will get more info and post it here as soon as I hear back.

OK here is the the latest update quoted from an email conversation

"Production is moving forward as we speak.
Kickstater did not work out for us. We still think that Kickstarter
is a great venue for new ideas. However, kickstarter is behind us.
After hearing from and talking to a lot of hobbiest we felt there was
enough interest to still take the leap into manufacting the housing.
And that is where we are at.

We are not currently planning on selling direct.

We have a five channel dimmer in the works as well as an assessory
board which you can mount commonly used hardware to. We are hoping to
make some complimentry products that can be used for makersled and DIY
led lighting. I don't have any hard dates set for some these items.

them available to vendors."
