My goal here is to get rid of all my algae. Basically there are two kinds of algae in my tank right now, grape caulerpa and neomeris (spindle weed, or whatever you want to call it) and ive made some mediocre attempts to battle them, but they have gotten out of control. I would just like some suggestions on what else i can do to get rid of them, in addition to what im already doing:

    For the caulerpa:
    1. Bought a protein skimmer (should arrive in a few days)
    2. emerald crabs
    3. removed a good portion by hand

    For the neomeris,
I really have no good way that i know of getting rid of this... the rock its mostly on cant be removed without destroying everything, and i cant just rip it off without leaving half the stalk behind. And nothing will eat it. what should i do?

what else can i be doing?

its a 28g jbj nanocube. As for the neomeris, The thread says it will go away with time... but its been quite a few months now and it continues to grow! so any other suggestions about it?

Well there's no caulerpa eating fish small enough for a 28g. Manual removal is about your only option. That and starving it out. High nutrients and phosphates are feeding it.
The neomeris: what about a razor blade and cutting it at the very base. Everything I've read says it's very short lived. If you can keep plucking at it just may recede on it's own.

Algae Turf Scrubber worked for me, I have no algae in my display except coralline.
