    yes, you can take a small piece of coral from the reef. It is however certainly against the law and morally wrong to do so as the coral will just die. You should do your best to not touch anything while diving. I know that's what they told us when we did it on an excursion. They warned us about firecoral and told us to just be safe don't touch anything.

    more so i think this is what i will do and now i need a underwater camera.
