taking out live rock and adding base rock.

    i was just wondering if it would be ok to take 5 lbs out of my reef tank and add it to my ten gallon as long as i would put the 5 lbs of base rock in the 29 from reef cleaners. does that sound ok?

    Sounds fine to me. You will lose a little bit of filtration power until the base rock becomes live. Shouldn't be a problem though if you have enough live rock in the 29.

    i agree with stepho, as long as your 29 has enough remaining live rock to work properly then it should be sweet. :)
