taking pictures

    You need to check the manual.. The camera has some setting for close ups. Also shooting into glass you may need to turn off the flash so you dont get the flash back.

    If you have the Cyber-shot® W120 Digital Camera DSC-W120/B there are soo many settings, where to begin. I will say that the picture you are searching for is not within the Auto setting. You will need to try the others.

    Hey, since it is digital and ther is not money watsed, try the same shot with all the settings, then compare. That worked for me..

    It looks to me that no white balance was done. If you don't have custom white balances try taking the same picture with different white balance settings.
    you may also want to try to push the shutter button 1/2 way down on something (this will focus on it) then reposition the frame to your liking and push the button to take the pic. This will help with a shot like this one. You notice most of your corals are out of focus. That is because your camera has focused on the far glass.

    the camera does have a ehite balance i will try messing with it more will also retry the shutter and to to get better focus thanks for the advice

    tips from a pro (just not me)

    happened by the LFS the other day and saw a pro photg taking pix, so I asked and he offered
    1. Separate the flash from camera (if you can)
    2. Shoot at slight angle downward
    3. tripod tripod tripod

    Interesting. I would be worried about the slight angle down as the glass will distort the focus.

    I would skip the flash all together mainly because 99% of people are shooting with point and shoot cameras not SLR.

    HAHA glad to know I'm one of the weird freaks with my camera, I use a 5.1mp digital camcorder and then pull out the frames i want to post :)
