I have a pair of talbot damsels in a nano. Any one have any experience with these guys? Will they likely go after a goby?

They might. Damsels usually get territorial.

Talbot's are aggresive but not as bad as some others.I would call them semi aggresive however fish usually show much more aggresion in smaller tanks. It would have been better to add the Goby first I don't know if I would chance it if the Damsels are already in there.

They are doing fine in a 12 gallon for now. But I was thinking of starting a 30-55gallon. Not sure what I would put with them other than coral.

Yeah thats kinda small they may harass a newcomer. You could try one of these Highfin Perchlets. They stay small and act similar to a hawkfish.Other fish leave them alone because of their red coloration and they have some cool green eyes. The only problem with them is I could never get one to eat anything but brine or mysis. They are very hardy though if you are willing to do that.I've kept them with damsels many times.

They are also called Pygmy Hawkfish or Geometric Hawks but it actually is in the Anthias family. One of my favorite Nano fish.;)
