    I have a blue regal tang and recently it has started to rub up against objects. Should i be concerned?

    Does he have white specs on him. He could be breaking out with ich.

    No white specs. He looks normal. bright and blue/yellow

    Just watch the fish over the next few days for signs of a parasite (ich). Also it would help to know your results from water testing.

    Even if the white specks aren't visible it could still be infected with ich. The white specks don't show up until a later stage.

    Feed it well, skim hard, and keep parameters top notch. If it gets really bad you may need to treat with either copper of hypo salinity in a separate tank but for now just see if it can fight it off on it's own.

    Might just be an itch! Just keep an eye on it, watch your params and make sure the little guy is eating well! Basicly all stated above.

    Do you run a ground probe??? I have seen fish act funny with stray voltage in the tank

    Just an update. I had my first case of the itch with my tank but he was over it in about a day. I talked to my lfs and they sais to do a fresh water dip, but i could not catch him. i left him in and he overcame it. Thanks for all the advise. Pete
