i still have the same yellow tang that was the first fish i bought after i cycled with perculas. since then i have had heaps of fish die :( aas i assume most noobies do hes been in a tank that has had outbreaks of ich more than once and still hes going when i moved house recently i took them back to lfs for him to mind for me my flame angel died but the yellow was tough.. lol he was looking worse for wear but got him back home feed him up and now hes bright and healthy as again seriously i dont think you can kill these fish . The only thing i would suggest once you put him in there anything you add after it will get hammerd by the tang so maybe put it in last or at the same time with others ?

yeah he's doing good so far. he was pretty pale from the stress of the trip, but he's starting to 'yellow' back up...

fiesty little guy... he ate some pellet food. i also gave him a bit of brine shrimp and he ate that. good sign!

Glad to see the YT doing well.

You really didn't need to wait that long to get one:)

Also, while some tangs can be aggressive, it is usually toward other tangs ( conspecific), and not completely fish from a different genus.

Nice looking fish. I've had mine for over 3 years now, he survived through all my newbie mistakes. IT has never been aggressive to newly added fish, even my blue tang. He postured up a little bit at first, but after a couple of days they began to pal around. Now they are buddies and follow each other around all the time.

so far he's doing well in QT. no ICH or any other signs of disease. all his 'yellow' is back. he was a lil pale from the stress of being removed from the LFS and driven home methinks.

ill acclimate him to the DT in a few days and give a pic with updates.
