I've had the tang for three weeks, eats every time I feed him. Levels nitrate nitrite phosphate all at zero, ph8.4 sg 1.025 temp at 79. Feed once a day. I also have an anenome how can you tell if he got stun by it? I did catch him a couple times at night by the anenome? Also have a pair of clown fish and one chromis that are doing fine. I've had them for two months.

Sorry for the loss. It could have gotten stung by the nem. You would have seen sores on it though. What kind of tang and what kind of food did you feed it?

The brine shrimp is pretty much useless unless it is gut loaded. They have almost no nutritional value like candy to us.

How did it look? Was it's belly skinny or normal? Could have been some kind of internal parasite if it was losing weight even though it was eating. Sometimes we just lose a fish no previous warning that it was sick. Has happened to me several times.

Just to be safe have your LFS test your water. If they confirm your own test results it may be just one of those mysterious deaths.

Edit: just saw he had white spots. There is your culprit.
