Your other two are good. Plankton and krill would be good. What other fish do you have?

The ones I recommended would be good. Any meaty type of food will be greatly appreciated by your fish.

Use the brine shrimp as a treat. It is sold because people have been told that it is good for their fish.

Got to be careful with info from the LFS. They are in it to make a living, so they will sell it to you first over information accuracy plus some of the employees don't know any better.

need waaaay more info, including tank size, type of tang and size, age of your setup, filtration, and flow. I feed spirulina brine to my tangs soaked in vitachem and garlic, but thats maybe 20% of their diet.

Tangs can also die for no good reason, but yours got marine ick. Alot of tangs get it from being even slightly stressed. Make sure if you try again you have alot of hiding places, mine took weeks to feel comfortable to come out, and now im training him to hand feed. He had alot of nifty rock formations and a blacked out background so he could feel safe while he got used to his environment. Also try not to buy tangs that aren't eating flake. Flake isn't the best stuff, but you know if he eats that he'll eat anything and you won't have him starving and stressed.
