I am wondering how many people have a tang or any fish for that matter that eats from their hand? My recently acquired blue eye tang has really made me believe she is quite intelligent. When I walk over to the tank she comes to the surface and sticks her mouth out. I can break up small pieces of seaweed and she will pick them out of my fingers or nibble on them while I hold them. Is this common?

I hand feed a lot of fish! My golden puffer would take pieces of squid from my hand.
At the LFS that I work at, i hand feed all the sting rays and there is a large foxface that thinks he is a puppy dog that will come up and beg food, and i hand feed him also.

The puppy dog pretty much describes it. I love my clown goby but this tang is really fighting for 2nd place in my heart. What a awesome fish.

My purple tang and clarki clown eats from my hands every single night! I knock on the glass 3 times and they rush over to me! "Dinner Time!" :)
