Tang ID? What kind is this?

    I hope it is... I picked it up at the unicorn price which is usally 40% cheaper! The thing it is has spots and it gets dark grey when it spars with my others tangs.

    yea blonde naso...they usually get the white coloured dots when they become emotional, either angry, sad, or scared, lol

    Neat! It's hard from the picture as there are about 100 types of surgeonfish, but I'd say for sure it's not a Vlamingi, or Naso species. Probably Acanthurus. Could be a juvi A. bahianus. Native to the Carribean. What else can you say about it? Where is this fish? It would be rare in the Hobby if it was Acanthurus bahianus.

    Naw. I was just able to zoom in a bit. And it may be a Naso... Hard to see the tail though.

    it looks like a naso not sure about a blonde but the pic isnt to clear....
    google image a blonde naso and it looks like yours

    I can't really tell from the pic but it looks like a Vlamingii Tang.
