Hey my powder brown is a perfectly healthy tang, he eats plenty of algae as well as flakes. He's very active and peaceful, but today when I got home i noticed white spots on his eyes. There is only one spot on each eye, and they protrude slightly. He doesn't seem to mind them (yet), but i need to know what these spots are and what to do about them, because I love my tang, and I wouldn't want anything critical to happen to him.

Funny you should mention that, my yellow tang had a white spot smack bang in the middle of his eye, he moved his eye as if to try and look at it, or shake it off he it was obviously agitateing for him , i went to bed and when i turned the lights back on day after it had totally gone, i do have a small cleaner shrimp, but he shys away , from the coral banded shrimp i think..no idea what it was but it never progressed into anything else...

Maybe it's nothing, or could be white spot or something else, keep a close eye on him...

In one sentence he's "perfectly healthy" and in another he has spots on his eye? Sounds like Ich. Can you get a picture? How long have you had the tang and how old is your aquarium?

You can have a perfectly healthy fish with aberrations. A white spec could be anything, but keep an eye on it. If he's healthy then he'll likely shake it off.

He is extremly healthy, and its not ich, not at all. Its only one little white spot on each eye. I've had this aquarium for years now, but the tang has only been in for about a month in a half.

Fingers crossed then, he should be ok...

One of the white things fell off within the hour, just to let you all know.
