We added a sailfin tang to the company tank 3 weeks ago. IME after two weeks any tang that we usually add is starting to get active and is not so scared of us or of venturing out from the live rock.

Do you guys think this guy is just a super scared sailfin or is taking longer than usual to become accustomed to aquarium life.

He is eating (mainly formula 2 sinking from the sandbed) but not as much nori or meaty foods as the other tank mates.

Whats the size of the tang? When my purple sailfin tang was smaller he was a shy little one. But as he grew larger he became more bold. It did take him a couple of weeks to get adjusted to eating like a pig.

hes a small one, maybe three inches... im hoping that it is just time and not a super shy tang!

The blonde naso that we put in a while back took about a week to get adjusted and he was only two inches when we got him ;)
