tang police again please..

    I know I have mention this before if there were any nano sized tangs, and the answer was no, but no I have a user on my youtube channels who says he has found a "nano tang" its actually only a Flame Fin tang, I tried to explain to him that this is not a fish that goes in a small tank, but he says "my LFS said its ok in 25 gallons" of course they said that! they want your money! ughh.. that just ticks me off, they ask you for advice and then go a get a tang anyways.. :angry:

    Nice, a yellowfin tang has a miniuman tank requirement of around 360g, very close to the 25g, hah.

    I think the Tang was prob a Yellow, many LFS commonly sell those and they work in smaller tanks for a bit but do eventually outgrow them. I don't mind if people put Tangs in small tanks, just upgrade tank or trade/sell them when the Tang has outgrown the space.

    lmao a yellow fin tang gets like 2 feet! i dont think a 180g would hold one comfortably let alone a 25g

    Maybe they LFS meant 250 gallons, but even that is really small for one. lol

    I just told him to do what he wants, but that I dont agree with it.. I dont get how people justify that kind of animal abuse? his response is ***** the tang ploice..

    nope no videos, I dont want a bunch of people ganging up on the kid, just needed to vent with some fellow people with respect for animals. I think hes just excited, but he wont be when he comes home to a dead tang from it being stressed.

    I would still like to see the video, I've seen a 90 gallon with multiple tangs, triggerfish, pufferfish, and groupers and a 25 gallon with several groupers.

    lol well if there were videos that would be a thing to see, but he's just a viewer not an "uploader" I flagged some video lastnight that the user deleted (a different user) that was a 30 gallon cube with six tangs 2 regals 2 yellow fins and 2 flame fins, 3 larger sized triggers, a hanful of clowns and some others.. like where do people get off?
