youtube always has crazy overstocked tank videos, i saw one that some kid in japan owned that had 5 full grown angels in a 55 gallon tank and a full grown achilles and powder blue tang. along with a large maroon clown in a carpet anemone. it was way overstocked but it must of had great water quality to support a healthy looking anemone. of course it would have to for those fish not to die.

Yeah one kid had a blue tang in a 29 biocube. I told home that even if the tang is 2" it still needs 125+ because it's such an active fish. Just because it isn't 12" doesn't meen it doesn't need room!!! Come on people...

The people where talking about probably went to petco and got bad advice. A few months ago I was going set up a 55g fowlr and the guy at petco said I could put a blue tang in a 55. Smh.

maybe a yellow tang but that is severely pushing the minimum tank size

yeah he posted a video, saying his lfs has kept one in a small tank for 3 years no problems, and it has stayed small.. its so ignorant. If I post a link to it, you all have to swear not to tell you found the video by me but simply scanning through youtube.

There definitely are does and dont's with tangs. Most Small tangs can be in any tank. Its just a matter of the owner saying hey its to big for my tank, time to trade it in or sell it.
