tang /royal gamma Romantic???

I Recently added a small yellow tang to my tank and he an my royal gamma seem to have taken a liking to each other they swim side by side all over the tank and sometimes seem to display a mating behavior??weird anyone ever seen this;D

 

I doubt it is mating behavior, most likely domination behavior and definitely mild.

 

I hope they use protection.

 

That's too funny. Be happy if the behavior stays low key. I added a Kole Tang a couple months ago and he went bizzarro Tang circling my Wrasse all day long. After a couple weeks it stopped but during that time it looked like the Tang was the irritating kid trying to get the older kids attention by swimming around him in circles all day long.

 

its hilarious they dont seem mad at all they just softly match move for move all over the tank

 

My rather large and mature Yellow Fin Damsel, who has turned total Blue now, follows the Coral Beauty like that and after observing them closely I figured out the Damsel follows the Beauty around and feeds with it. The Beauty searches out food while normally the Damsel only goes after food suspended and it can readily see and get.

 

maybe they're having a synchronized swimming competition?
