I have a 125, 6" tank, currently have a baby purple tang. Anyone have any opinions on another very colourful tang that I could add? Not too concerned about price

Yellow tang always adds that pop to any tank.

Edit, you have a purple tang already so not sure how a yellow would handle it. There the same body shape.

avoid buying one of the same species, since you have a Zebrasoma( the purple) you could look at the Acanthurus species, The powder blue is a nice colorful one, as is the Achilles. I would only recommend adding one more tang to your setup, while six feet seems long to us it a 125g is still smallish for multiple tangs. So if your going to add, I would recommend only two altogether.

What about a powder blue and a yellow eye kole tang, would that be overkill? It'd be nice to have a tang that eats hair algae as well as the powder blue

I would go with a kole, PB's aren't the easiest to keep and can get nasty like the purple.

Ok, are there any other ridiculously colourful fish that are reef safe?

if it is a 6" tank then get that tang out of there!!! 6' on the other hand is a little better and you can add a chevron tang with an achillies tang!

Achilles and chevron tangs need a 6 x 2 x 2 tank at the very minimum. They are very active, get fairly large, and achilles tangs are very hard to keep/get feeding. Smaller fish like the ones I listed are a better choice.
