    My suggestion would be no more tangs in a 55. Even with excellent filtration, you're asking for a serious fight to the death....especially with a Purple Tang. Even if you added a small Purple tang, it will grow and take out your yellow and hippo in no time at all.

    Both those tangs will soon need larger tank volumes, so they will have to go or you will need to upgrade. My sailfin has gone from 3" to 6" in 1 year so it won't be long. (His nickname is Tank 'cause he's stout.) I think purples also require large tanks so be wise so you don't end up having to give away a fish that you've cared for and like. Or you can plan on upgrading:cheesy:- Paul
