tangs agressive to other tangs

A few things to consider...first of all you need to have efficient skimming continuously and the use of carbon will help as well as far as the water clarity as well as removing harmful pollutants.
Weekly water changes and decresed feedings. Fish don't need to fed more than once a day IMO!
And with the large fish that you have, feeding once a day or every other would help substantially with water quality!

I also have another question i currently have lace rock in the tank. And ive read alot about how live rock is a nautral filtration and was wondering if i could like mix them or use it as a base rock or something also wondering if there are any corals or stuff like that i can put in there my gruper/angel/tang are all about 4 1/2 inch and my damsels are like 4 inches the shark is about 8-10 i recived the fish from my uncle he started a reef tank and i wanted a fish only. Is there any chance of putting some coral in there? Can coral grow on lace rock? A:KCLMA:KLCMACMS:LMSCA:LFDJM:AS<MLFK:NAM

 

Any rock in the tank will become live. Amcarrig and Tangster dont even use LR to seed their tanks.

Coral usually comes on a frag disk (plastic) or on a piece of rubble. You have to superglue or epoxy it any anyway So yes, coral can grow on lace rock

The angel and grouper might be a pest and nip at your coral though.
What is your lighting setup like?

You should find out what kind of lighting you have

A good 'starter' point is about 5+ watts of light per gallon of water.

Now that i've said that ^ ignore it, and lets say you pretty much need Metal Halides. T5s will suffice in large amounts, but you'd probably pay the same for the T5 as for the MH

However, ^ MH usually require a chiller because of their extreme operating temps. I'll let somebody explain it better than I have and has personal experience

 

ill find out but can u grow any types of coral without good lighting? My tank is a 125 tall so i dont no if that changes anything?

 

u can grow non-photosynthetic corals like Tubastrea(sun coral, my avatar is an example), or some goronians. mushrooms don't require a ton of light either.
