tangs

    as i love my tangs im thinking of gettin two blue hippo tangs and two yellow tangs do you think these will get along if introdued together;D

    They most likely will not get along well. Definately dont put two hippos in the same tank.

    how come ive seen them together in other peoples tanks, i know that one yellow and one blue will go good together, when do you think it is best to introduce them, i will be introducing them together anyhow

    I would probably put them in before the clowns so they can get used to the tank. Clowns always seem to bully everyone. Iv read its not recommended to put tangs together but nothing is for sure with marine fish. Everything iv read says not to put two hipos together though unless you have a 100 gallon or bigger tank to do it in.

    ok cool think i will stick with one blue and one yellow, i was thinking of putting my clowns in first as their will be four of them what do you think

    but they will all be young clownfish and young tangs

    Iv always heard add the meanest fish last. Those tangs should be pretty indeferent to other fish in there so I would let them get a good feel for the layout of your tank and take some territory of there own before you put the clowns in.

    BTW are you gonna have any anenome's in there. Nothin like watching your clowns dance around in there host anenome.

    the younger tangs you get the better the chance they will get along. if you add them at the same time the better the chance they will get along, the more different they look the better the chance they will get along.

    I put a purple and a hippo in my tank together last Sunday and they seem to be doing great together. No fighting I can see, they both eat from the same piece of seaweed at the same time...
