    I used adheasive blue vinyl on mine.. looks just like I painted it. have to wet it first and then squeegy out the water..

    Sorry didn't see your reply. Umm, well I use latex paint by rusto'leum. A lot of different paints will not stick to glass but spray paint is another option.

    Whats nice about the vinyl is that you can still do it if the tank is already setup.. you probably have to move the accessories out of the way first. I am thinking about selling it for this use. anyone want to buy some? I have a few colors.

    You can also use vaseline petroleum jelly in between the glass and the background. Try in on a corner and you will see it looks cool....like it is inside the tank. I did that the last time I had my tank set up and it stayed on for a couple years with only some tape on the very ends to keep it from curling up. I ran the tape from top to bottom on each edge.
