You can also paint the back of the tank. But in your case with it already full this might be a problem. :)

Yep, that's what I'm going to do with my next tank (75g sitting on my front porch waiting for the laundry room to be completed).

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm still waiting on having time to put the background on. I'll post pics once finished. I also rearranged my rock setup. I bought some Oatey putty to set my rock. BTW...that stuff stinks.

wouldent it just be easier to double side the tape and stick it to the glass and paper on one side, tape it properly on the other side, and fix it back on the first side.

I personally like the look of painted backs instead of fake backgrounds

The only thing I was thinking is this would "ruin" the tank...but its for an aquarium to be up for a while. For me, my aquarium. Not to sell to someone else who may not want it that way. lol;D

I want a black background & have heard that using window tinting sheets(I think) from Walmart automotive center works good? I think I'll try the background with the mineral oil, then try this(the window tint). If I don't like those, I think I'll paint the back of the tank black.

Just remember if you paint it, you paint the outside of the glass not the side in the tank. :)
