Tank Background?

    Sorry for the lag in posting a pic of the final product. I took the advice and got mineral oil. Worked like a champ. Now I have a big bottle of laxative oil under my sink, but the Kake Tank looks great.

    Beautiful tank. I'm still undecided about a background for my own tank.

    I used interior latex for my tank with no issues. One or two spots did get scraped off when I moved, but I kept some touch up paint so it was easy to fix.

    In any event, it's not really a big deal to scrape paint off the glass later if need be.

    Ive used vaseline between the background sheet and the glass. just spread a thin coat then put your BG on. use a Credit card or Drivers license to smooth all the bubbles out. lasted 10 years on my old tank. cleaned up with soapy water when I sold it. for my new tank, I spray painted it black. came out perfect.
