Tank cleaning question

hey peoples new guy here,

i know this may sound stupid but i was doing some general tank cleaning yesterday and thaught id do a little re-aquascaping. question is, it stirred up a helluvalotta crap, sand and such. and still isnt completly settled by this evening. should i shut everything down for awhile till it all settles? man, i know thats such a newbie question but yanno... lol... thanx .

 

I've redone the aquascape a couple of times and just let everything keep on running. I just cleaned out my filter sock the next day when everything was cleared up.

 

And there is no such thing as a stupid question....seriously. I am a newbie myself (with hours and hours of experience). I've asked my share of questions. This is a very cool site. John.

 

Thanx for the quick response pharmrjohn. yeah i just cleaned out the drip pad . guess ill just keep it runnin.. I guess you are right bout no stupid questions. lol.. just seems i tend to forget the simple things sometimes . lol..
