Ok seems like my 24g nano is in constant need of the scrub down. I get a thin green film on the inside of the glass. This is my first SW tank and i was wondering if this is normal. I use the magnet cleaner, but seems like i have to clean maybe 7 times a day to keep the film off the glass. Just seems to come back. Just wondering if thats normal. I can only see it from the opposite side of the tank if that makes sense. I don't see it if I look directly on the part I am cleaning.

Sounds like you feed alot, or to much. Thats how I make sure my glass is clean. Look through the other side.

I have not gotten the feeding down yet. I feed every other day and a thumbnail size of frozen brine shrimp with a bit of flake mixed in. Is that to much? Guy at lfs said to do that much every day.

7 times a day is a lot. If I go 2 days I see film.

I think a thumnail is a lot. I probably feed my 85g that much. But it is lite stock of fish and heavy coral.

    normal.

I clean mine off with a magnet cleaner about every 2-3 days giving my water column a good dose of food for my corals :)
