It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If it were my tank I would do a couple large water changes, change out carbon with quality carbon like chemipure elite, skim wet add some Microbacter7 and let the tank sit for 2 weeks while testing water parameters.

Next proceed with cheapo corals like mushrooms and slowly restock with hardy corals and inverts.

Since the issue started with not allowing the salt mix to completely dissolve before adding it directing to the system you should be good to go once you allow the tank another mini cycle after all the die off.

Just always go slow, make one adjustment at a time.

    Good luck

Yup...and also, as an old Boy Scout, I would suggest being "prepared" before proceeding with WC ..or anything else for that matter.:-/
Sorry to hear of such a bummer though...good luck...hang in there.

If it's alive then likely not. If it's dead/dieing then it will decay and could release toxins in the process.

I was not able to do my water change yesterday because of timing but when i got home the tank was still real cloudy.I moved all my rock so i could clean out anything dead.Found my Mandarin goby and some crabs under the rocks.Got them out of there and turned off the lights and went to bed. When i woke up this morning it was crystal clear and even saw some copepods scavenging around.Do i still need to do the 2 50% water changes or should i let this be for now

Test for ammonia and nitrates those values will tell you large of a water change to do. If you have detectable ammonia or nitrites then proceed with smaller water changes IMO.
Get some Prime to have on hand should the tank have a mini cycle.
Make up a couple gallons of SW should you need it.

If you have no detectable ammonia or nitrites then I would just simply do two 20% water changes over the course of a week.

At this point keeping your hands out of the tank and monitoring for ammonia and nitrites and having mixed SW ready seems like a prudent way to proceed to me. In other words stop messing with it, hard to do but if your parameters are in line and the water is clear and the fish are still alive and some corals, just remove what is dead and leave well enough alone.
