try feeding a few live ghost shrimp to trigger.. my fish eat those things up in a matter of seconds.. them being alive, fish may react better.. worth a try..

I respectfully want to disagree with all of this, except the skimming. You say after you changed the lights one coral faded, the rest may be reacting also, just in a different time frame.
Excessive water changes rarely rectify nor "cure" anything. Somewhere along the evolution of reef keeping or aquarium keeping in general, someone came up with the notion that if you change a substantial amount of water you can eliminate a problem, this is false. Without knowing what is happening specifically all excessive water changes may accomplish is a temporary reduction of Nitrate and/or the disruption of the chemistry of the tank.
What lighting did you go from and what did you go to? The fish not eating could be for various reasons, one of which you mentioned (parasite) or a simple case of constipation. My Niger and Queen triggers would get constipated along with my Dog Face Puffer and wouldn't eat for a week sometimes. I personally would not tear apart the tank (which could be a source of the coral problems). Since you have and have the fish in another tank I hope things work out for you in that regard. Tell us about the lighting.

Anything is possible but I think it's unlikely. I replaced my T5 bulbs about since most of them were 15 months old. It is my belief that this one coral was not happy with the lighting change since it started fading right away.

    Lighting was
    Front
    ATI Blue Plus
    Current Actinic
    Korallen-zucht Fiji Purple
    Current Actinic
    UV Super Actinic
    ATI Blue Plus
    Back

    Now
    Front
    ATI Blue Plus
    ATI Blue Plus
    ATI Aquablue SPecial
    Korallen-zucht Fiji Purple
    ATI Blue Plus
    ATI Blue Plus
    Back

I changed the bulbs over a period of about 2 weeks to avoid shock starting in early February. The coral I mentioned started getting lighter in color right off the bat. All of the other corals looked great. until about a week after I started feeding the food containing the Metro.

I hear you I only did the massive water changes reluctantly for the reasons you mentioned. The only thing that made sense to me was the medication causing the decline. The best option seemed to be dilution.

The trigger steadily lost weight since I got it in January although it would eat very well and a nice variety of meaty foods as well as nori. It kept looking worse and finally started hiding all of the time and stopped eating. I was leaving town for a few days and was afraid he would die well I was gone and pollute the tank since he is pretty big.

Things are still declining. Some millis started to STN on me now. I stopped the water changes for a day and stopped running carbon and GFO for one day and it looked like the decline got worse. I decided to start the carbon and GFO again. I changed the carbon GFO fix in my reactor to 50/50 . It is a BRS reactor and the GFO and GAC are separated by a sponge.

This may be due to the medication or due to excessive feeding or both. I would think that with all of the water changes, carbon and the polyfilter the Metro would be gone by now. Perhaps it is nutrients. I'll stop feeding for a couple of days and observe the results.

I really don't want to lose everything. I'm not sure what else I can or should do at this point. Any other suggestions?

This milli started showing tissue loss on the bottom of some branches last night. It was a little worse in the morning. Came home from work to see all out RTN. Note the algae in the background. This started after I increased the feeding to treat my Blue Throat. The bubbles are a recent development. I'm measuring 0 phosphate and nitrate at 5 ppm. Nitrate had always been below 1 before I picked up the feeding. Is this RTN event due to the higher nitrate?

Here is what my nice orange digitata now looks like. I haven't quite given up hope on it yet.

This acro is now growing algae on the tips. It used to be a nice purple color.

My caps have lightened up. The left pedal on the orange cap has lost tissue and now light passes through it. The older growth areas have lightened up considerably. The green cap frag no has algae growing on it. Don't know if it is still alive.

Here is my favorite milli. It is losing flesh from the tips. Not really visible in the pic. I'm expecting this to RTN next.

Top view used to look like this on March 13.

Today, 2 1/2 weeks later, it looks like this.

Also note the change in color of my caps between the two pictures.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
