Wuttup everyone. Just had a question about the nitrogen cycle and the ways to speed up the growth of beneficial bacteria. (Without any cost and no I'd rather not rush through it and let it take as long as needed.) Does lighting increase the growth of bacteria's on my live rock and sand bed? Or is it better to keep the lights off in-order for them to grow faster?

    -TY ALL... ;D

No, it doesnt help your beneficial bacteria as they feed off of nitrogenous wastes only. but, i would leave your actinics on, if you have them.
