I took my water in today to get tested and they said that it has cycled. I want to take some water to another shop and get a second opinion though just to make sure.

I have some hermit crabs in it chillin right now and one small fish that I have had for a couple weeks. Can't wait to get my new lights and finally start into the next part.:laughy:

Sweet, karma for your patience. Really, I would invest in a great test kit. It seems like an inconvenience but it's cheaper and less time consuming than driving to the LFS right? I like the Red Sea master test kit. What kind of lights are you getting? I'm looking hard at the current 8x54 48''. what kind of tank and all that jazz?

congrats just be sure to stock everything in the right order and do it slowly so the tank will have time to get accustomed to the bioload

Good move on the lighting and the bioload comment is right on. A little at a time. I went way too fast myself but lucked out and lost little.

    Rock on.......John

Thanks guys. I picked out this sick looking Clownfish today. The middle white bar on him doesn't go all the way around his body so I thought he was unique. The store told me that they are pretty hardy for a new tank so I went with that and also because he was $19.99 compared to everything else I was suggested:biglaugh:. I wanted this Canary Blenny, but it was $30+. I just want to make sure my tank is setup right before I start spending money on creatures. I'll post some pics soon.

Congrats on the cycle, but as you mentioned, get another opinion. How long has the tank been running? Luna

Yep, I went to a different store today and they said that all the tests are good. It's been up I think it's four weeks now.
