It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just the preemptive post as Khowst was kind enough to point out that all large pet store bashing threads go to thread heaven. Aye!

Would not want to ruin a perfectly good thread for such a silly reason.

I think we should have one dedicated thread for reporting bad things.

In my opinion, that tank is easily big enough for two clowns. Don't stress about having one, thats just sad!.

To bring the thread back on topic, live rock can make the tank cycle much faster because it already has well established beneficial bacteria in it. Most people don't use all live rock which slows down the cycle but saves a lot of money for larger tanks.

Whatever you do, don't get the damsel to start out with. It won't be easy to catch, and damsels should be added last (if at all) or they will think the whole tank is theirs (especially a small one like yours). Most clowns are pretty cheap anyways - only about a $10 difference from regular damsels. You should also get a fairly big clown with a small baby one so there isn't a power struggle.

There's a built in report button at the bottom left of every single post?

I think they were talking about having a forum for just bashing big box stores and lfs.

On topic, whatever livestock you decide on make sure you research them first. I have found a lot of people on 3reef to be very helpful in this, I also like liveaquaria.com as they seem to give good information, and also since you have a 10g tank they have nano fish for sale.

What I'd do if I were you is: Add some hermits, add some snails. do light feedings for a week, then test again. If it's all good, get a pair of Ocellaris Clowns. You can add in a damsel or something of the sort afterward.

I personally wouldn't add in a damsel. I have one with my pair of clowns in my 10 gallon, and I'm just lucky that my damsel is scared of the female clown or else there could have been problems.
