Salt creep only happens when you have water that leaves the tank somehow.

    Where/when I've seen it:

    - You have a tank with a water level very close to the top that does not have the rim sealed on the inside. What happens here is that ripples in the tank cause a small amount of water to get on top of the glass. Since the rim isn't sealed, the water semi-dries and salt builds up and eventually seeps under the rim and creeps down the outside of the tank.

    - Another common cause of salt creep is if you have air bubbles finding its way into the tank then they pop at the surface and a tiny amount of water makes it to the top of the tank. When it dries, salt builds up.

    - A small very slow leak in a return pipe may not show up as a drip, but could cause a salt build up.

Must have been Calcium or salt from initial mix and filling of tank. Probably should have ran a powerhead in each bucket of newly mixed salt water before adding so soon. I did stir/agitate it and it looked like the salt crystals were dissolved but I guess not! I have gotten the water to clear up pretty good today(day 3) and I have been scraping and scrubbing the inside glass relentlessly since. It is coming together slowly.... How many weeks of no fish? I know, I know, patience! Thanks to all who responded.;D
