Yeah, all of the fishies in the tank eat well, the tang does not seem to be stealing food, but eats the Brine shrimp regularly. I've put some seaweed in for the tang, but he didn't eat it, only the frozen Brine shrimp. Should I increase the number of times I feed them per day? o_O The tang does not seem to have any irregularities to him, and he swims around the tank happily :). He does pick on the LR occasionally.

Like I said, we were cautious about buying the fish, and we thought that since we had asked TWO fish stores if they thought we were ready to add livestock, and they both said YES... we figured that we could trust them. :-/

Now we know that we cannot trust our LFS, but I don't think they have a return policy where we could get refunded, and I'm not willing to give them back overpriced livestock if they won't give us a refund for their lies, so we are going to haveta try to make things work in there.

And let me just say that it SUCKS knowing that we can't trust the people at our LFS.... :furious3:

I know exactly what it's like feeling betrayed at the LFS. It's not a big problem. No one can read an article and a few posts and KNOW that what they're doing is right. You've got to make mistakes. Yes, it's costly and it shouldn't have to cost a life... but them's the breaks in this hobby.
    KEEP GOING!

    Sparky... ya got me.

    OK so O M F G......

I came back from being away for 3 days and all the fishies in the tank were doing awesome. They were a little hungry, but I fed them some Brine and they all showed up to eat. I watched them for a while, and none of them chased each other, and everything seemed serene.

I went to go grocery shopping and do a few errands (gone maybe about... 2-3hrs)... and when I came back I took a look in the tank, and what do I see... Our Yellow Tang wrapped around the .5" input of the protein skimmer.... Now this thing has a filter that came with the skimmer, but our poor tang's body was litterally wrapped to it, and I tried to get it off with our turkey baster, I tried pushing some water around it because I figured it was dead.... I couldn't get it off so I unplugged the skimmer, and the Tang popped up and swam away like nothing had happened.... The tang has some slight discoloration near its upper fin, with a couple of lines (I'm assuming these are impressions left by the skimmer "protective" cap....) BUT he swims around the tank normally now...

    So freakin weird....

Water params are normal after doing a check about an hour n half after watching the tang to see how he was doing....

*sigh* So I guess you could say I am slightly relieved to see that he is doing okay.
