Tank Leaked last night

On a side note:

Are you sure, it is an acro crab that is messing with your monti? There are several types of crabs that will hide in acros that are actually bad crabs. What does yours look like? Better yet, can you get a pic of it?

 

this thread isn't making a lot of sense to me.

bc all this stuff I'm reading doesn't have much to do with your tank leaking last night. If it's leaking, that's the only concern you have at moment, IMO.

Is the tank leaking?

 

I used a piece of cork about 1/8 inch thick and I have it some the entire bottom is on it. I also added plastic shims to the one side of tank.

 

I would make a pest trap out of an empty water bottle. Cut the top off and flip it inside out and glue it. Let it dry. This will have the opening on the inside of the bottle. Put a piece of krill inside and put in near your acros. With any luck, the crab will be drawn toward the food and will fall into the bottle without a way to get back out.

Soooo, which is it Adam? Leaking or Leaning? If you have a leak I suggest you go out buy a loaf of bread and fill up your car/truck with gas. Then I would sweep and mop the house. If it is leaning, then the best course of action is to mow the yard and check the mail.

 

lol thats what i was going to say! I used a towel inbetween my stand and tank. doen't effect the leveling and if you spill some water it won't sit under your tank on the stand an make thew wood stand rot out.

 

Actual my old tank was leaning and leaking at the frame. Now I have a new tank which is not leaking and with shims not leaning either. I will continue going to the mailbox every day. My Fairy Wrasse did not make it though. His mouth was moving but that was it and I eventually threw him out. Maybe I should have waited longer. Too late now.

I cleaned my protein skimmer with white vinegar and its working like crazy now. Aqua C Remora. This is normal for a couple days after a good cleaning.
