Tank looks pretty bad need some help....PICS and PARAMS ADDED SEE LAST PAGE

I don't have an ATO, so I personally top off my tank every day, keeping my levels constant.

 

from the 5 years i have experience and multiple tanks ive had i found that the red algae come from lack of filtration i just actually had a tank setup and filter took a crap and few days later i had that red stuff added new filter yesterday and it is almost all cleared up today already

 

Are you talking about just a regular mechanical filter?

 

I've recently had a similar experience. I went a few months without a filtersock and all cyano hell broke loose. You may be over feeding or require some additional filtration.

 

thats so true im not consistent on topping it off im def gonna buy a ATO pretty soon

You are feeding too much plain and simple. I have 46g tank with a big clown and a dottyback and hardly ever feed them. In a tank that big you should have alot of pods and be able to feed a few pellets a week to those guys. The halide might help your corals grow but it will definitely help the GHA grow!

 

I just feed a little about 3 times a week...rinsed frozen

 

Do you have a clean up crew by any chance?.

 

Yes I have tons of dwarf ceriths and some nassarius snails
