ALOT of good info here.. !!

But a heads up on useing a Hair Dryer .. Be careful..

A friend had to reseal a tank he made.. Got in a hurry, so used a hair dryer
to dry the tank out faster.. Held it in one spot to long.. the glass heated up and
shattered the back glass.. This could only happen to us.. LOL
We use smoked glass on the back, turns out nice..

Good Luck with the move, Larry

But just to heat the water would be no problem...

well, the move is done. as far as i can tell i only lost one fish, the pipe fish, which is sad, i really liked him.

it was time consuming but went fairly smooth thanks to all the advice.

it was actually good for the tank, i was able to do a lot of cleaning, get out some detritus i normally would not have been able to get to and was able to create a better aquascape for the livestock.

i did about a 50% water change which helped lower the nitrates. i left the lights off for two days and did not feed during that time either. they really attacked the food when i did feed.

now i just need to adjust the corals once i see how they react to the new setup.

once i get my stuff unpacked i will throw some pics up of the new setup.

thanks to everyone for their help.

Congrats on getting it done, sorry about the pipefish. I am getting ready to move in the next couple weeks. Going through and gathering up as many buckets, totes and such as I am going to need. I am going to be changing over to sand from crushed coral when I move mine. Landlord where I live came by today saw my tank and said, "thats beautiful I wouldnt want to move it." Gee thanks
