...maybe then we call it 'featured' tank of the month... doesn't exactly have to be the, um, "prettiest" tank in this case... just thinking out loud, er, just thinking out digitally.

I know we have COTM... Coral of the month..
Which I really enjoy.. Alot of good info pictures, how to care for, etc ....

Tank of the month would really be nice..

And you can be amazed at some of the smaller tanks...
    Here's a 20 gal.. that is unreal.. I mean REALLY unreal.. !!!

I like the idea and some have valid points to avoid the rich vs poor and large vs small debate. This could be done in the way Matt mentioned or switch off each month for the tank size ie.. January 200 + gal, Febuary Nano tanks, March tanks from 50 to 199 ect.

Yeah, like featured nano tank, and so on. You could have different classes. FOWLER, Reef, Nano, Medium tanks, Large tanks ETC. Doesn't have to be a competition or anything, it would just be nice to see how proud everyone is of their tanks. We all care about our tanks, even though some of us, myself included, don't have that much money to put into to our tanks, we still put alot of time into our tanks and we are very proud of them and would be happy to show it off.

that's gonna be exciting. im thinking if we would be able to cover various genres with this "featured tank" (for me would be the best title) thing, then each level of fish keepers from noobs to experts can benefit from it. i find it much helpful to know people who's got the same tank set up as mine. makes it easier to relate.

Now thats the spirit I was hopeing to hear from everyone, and I totaly agree with not forgeting about the small tanks or the tank built on a buget, yeah it's nice to see huge sps tanks but I think for a lot of us me included those are not really realistic, I would really like to see tanks built with blood, sweat and tears. oh so many tears!

i also think that doing this would help out anyone who just happens to stumble upon the forum. like a newbie still not sure what kind of tank their gonna set up and just happened to do research. i mean its agood way to see what you options are, when you start u usually imagine a big reef tank but there are so many possibilities and so many things ppl do with their tanks.

anyway i think this is a great idea :D

This is a really great idea! I don't think it would leave anyone out really. Specially if once a tank is "of the month" we can make it ineligible after that. There are plenty of AWESOME small tanks here.
