    Anyway, JJL, I don't think chromis should be in anything under 40. IME they need to be in a school of 3 or more to be happy and have at least 36" of swimming space for the small ones. Also, they are not an ideal beginner fish and are labeled as such because of their relatively low price. Sorry, will go find argument thread. Some may argue this, and I will accept their points, here is a discussion on them.

    chromises ime dont have to be in a school to be happy. and in fact will rarely school in a tank small than 125 gallons. they also dont need to be in such a large tank. id say 20 gallon min.

    They are currently in the 20 gallon bracket ;)
