Scratches on the inside from cleaning. I bought the magfloat for acrylic in the hopes of not scratching the glass, but all it takes is one piece of sand. I've seen plenty of acrylic tanks scratched really bad. Again, I'd avoid acrylic.

IMO the deeper the better i have a 90 and a 55 and i have a heck of a time getting things to flow right with the narrower 55 i would go with something 40 X at least 18 not to mention its alot easyer to get a sump to fit underneath it with all the equipment and the rockwork is alot easer to deal with

dementions of a 120 sounds great if you can swing the cash

i found some tanks on cragslist but they had fresh water fish in it before they emptied it. Should I need to be concerned with this or should all tanks be able to handle saltwater as well as freshwater?

nope dont worry about it just watch to make shure all the calk is in good condition if not its not all that hard to reseal tanks great links on you tube for repairs and you may get a better deal if it needs work if you get a used tank scrub it down with bleach or white vinager and an old wash cloth . thats a good idea used or new IMO i have found cregslist is a great spot to find decent used equipment . i stay away from used heaters power heads or pumps in all reality there not expencive new

just 3 weeks ago i missed out on a 120 with a 55 gal sump for 200 bucks with a decent stand and a asm skimmer but i always build my own stands
