I have a question about a tank seam, picked up this 50g 30"x18"x18" rimless with starfire front about a week and a half ago. Leak tested showed no problems, seams looked perfect when I first picked it up. Now when looking at the seams its looking odd to me but unsure if this is just the tank settling or if this is cause to return it because seams appear to be failing. Front panel is starfire glass and rest of the tank is regular glass. 3/8" thickness, I only notice this on the starfire front, no other seems show this. There is no leaking and tank and stand is perfectly level. The bottom half of the seam appears to be perfect still, just the top half showing.
    Here are some pics.

Kinda scary looking but it may be nothing more then imperfections in the cut and poor polishing job.Try wiping them with a little straight vinegar and see if its just calcium or salt stuck in them.

its not anything wipeable. Its inside the seam. The seam was perfect before with no bubbles or hazing like in the picture. Im going to drain the tank to below the hazing to see if it disappears to see if its a weak seam. The whole seam looked like this before.

Ahh.It was hard for me to see which piece of glass was in front of which.I would definitely consider returning it if possible.Good luck. That really stinks.:(
